The loving, late matriarch of the Scheck Family would be proud of her husband and sons for the hands-on battle with this insidious disease and other Scheck Family community endeavors. The Scheck Family, led by Rick Scheck, has dedicated immeasurable time and resources to the greater Chicago area in the universal fight against Cancer. The family has been honored for distinguished giving but it should not only be accounted for in a financial sense. The Scheck’s have put forth their heart and soul into their efforts and have instilled the spirit of Community Service to all those who are fortunate to cross their path.
Rick Scheck is the Founder and Co-Chairman of the Betty Scheck Shuffle. He and his family, arm in arm with the hometown citizens of North Riverside, Illinois raised $1,500,000.00 to benefit those fighting cancer and to improve early detection and research initiatives of the American Cancer Society. The 2009 Event was the last for the Betty Scheck Shuffle but the family will continue its relentless pursuit for a cure and track record of distinguished giving.
