A Letter from the CEO

Fresh off the 38th Annual United Association Convention in Las Vegas we want to extend our congratulations to friend and fellow UA brother Bill Hite for his re-election as the General President. The Convention featured prominent speakers such as; Secretary of Labor - Hilda Solis, Mayor of Chicago - Rahm Emanual, and many others
gathered to commend Bill Hite for his re-election as the UA General President. This select collection of leaders commented on the promising outlook for growth in construction requiring high performance trade craft like welders, instrumentation technicians and pipe fitters. As I listened to this distinguished group I'm optimistic the coming years will feature prominent expansion for New Power Generation – Nuclear and others, Natural Gas and Refining as Canada's heavy crudes and Oil Sands projects come on-line.

During these tough economic times we've benefited by our own leadership. It is clear tosee the future for Scheck Industries is bright based on our hard work to diversify our capabilities and markets segments. At our core the Company was founded as a specialty mechanical contractor. However, approaching our third decade in business we have evolved into much more than a mid-west based mechanical contractor. We now possess turnkey capital contractor capabilities with the ability to service a project with one person or a thousand in the most remote regions of North America and potentially beyond our own borders some day.

We have positioned ourselves to meet the demands of forecasted growth in the energy sectors. Last year saw us branch out into constructing next generation facilities for new process technologies. We continue to see growth in Pulp and Paper facilities, Chemical, and Food and Beverage sectors.

Finally, and most importantly I'm proud of our continued success with our Safety Programs. In 2010 our Companies received eight major safety awards representing all the heavy industrial markets. We are approaching three years and three million hours running without a recordable. This outstanding track record is a testament to the entire team from our trade personnel to the office staff working with a coordinated efficiency.

Sincerely,
Rich Scheck
