SIC was contracted for a planned outage on Unit 4. The outage consisted of repairing the boiler, coal handling, precipitator, scrubber and air preheater. Scheck Industrial completed the work by sourcing the project with 70 boilermakers, 13 pipefitters and 14 millwrights.
On the air pre-heater we replaced all of the cold side baskets. In the boiler, SIC made repairs to casing leaks, tube shields and replaced 5- twenty foot sections of riser tube above 4-1 cyclone. The scrubber required extensive patching. The Unit 123 outage consisted of cleaning and blowing out nozzles as well as rotating coal piping along with refactory repair.
