Duke Edwardsport IGCC Air Separation Unit

Edwardsport, IN

Duke Energy's $2.88 billion coal degasification power plant under construction on 100 acres in Edwardsport, Indiana. As many as 460 Bechtel engineers were involved at the peak of design. When the IGCC facility will be one of the cleanest coal-fired power plants in the world, according to Duke published materials. It will emit less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and mercury than the plant it replaces – while providing more than 10 times the power of the existing plant.

Under the direction of Marc Anderson and Jack Moore, along with our instrument fitters Scheck Technical Services successfully completed the installation of instrumentation on Duke Energy Edwardsport IGCC Air Separation Unit. Air separation is a vital part of the coal gasification process.

Scheck Industries commends the Project Team for their great work at Duke Edwardsport:
Tim Hicks Site - Superintendent and
Jon Kenny - Field Supervisor.
