Scheck Mechanical Completing Major
Refinery Project

Scheck has recently completed construction of a portion of the Conoco Phillips C.O.R.E. Project in Wood River, Illinois. At completion, Scheck installed and tested over 60,000 lineal feet of piping, and over 50,000 lineal feet of steam tracing tubing. Scheck performed in excess of 600,000 man-hours at the project site, all without a single lost time or recordable injury.

Capitalizing on Scheck's great relationship with the Bechtel Companies, Scheck worked alongside Bechtel forces as it has in other areas of the country combining shared expertise to the benefit of our client. The collaboration of Scheck Industries' veteran supervisory staff alongside several key local talents, and hundreds of craft labor from Scheck's travelling work force were the key factors driving the success of the project while maintaining the Company's world class Safety Achievement of Zero injuries record. The NRPA and Conoco Phillips recognized Scheck for its outstanding safety achievements while working at the facility.
