Scheck Mechanical has recently completed 1.5 years of a 5 year Maintenance Project. The Scope of the project is to provide execution and management of the mechanical activities for the Joliet Refinery. Scheck's Team was commended for both safety and stewardship during a recent peer review of performance at the Joliet refinery. During the one and a half year time frame Scheck has been without a Recordable Injury, and a part of the customer's Nationwide Accident Free performance. The Scheck team recently finished the 2011 Spring Turn Around, which included a Vessel Change Out in the Reformer Unit, twenty four hour continuous work completing Tie-Ins for the SHU Hot Feed Project, CHD Optimization Project, CHD Sour Water K.O. Drum Installation, as well as numerous work items. The entire project was accident-free, on budget, and within schedule.
The entire Scheck team of supervisors and mechanical craft personnel have all provided an excellent work effort, dedication, and leadership to garnish such praise. Chris Scheck, Scheck's vice president, commented that "We are all very excited about our current and future relationship with the Joliet refinery team. Recent turnarounds and a year and half worth of Scheck being able to prove itself have given us the ability to demonstrate our skilled team to the refinery operation. We are excited, but continue to push every day to improve our team, job performance and to be a reliable partner for many years to come".
